How to convert bits to kilobytes
1 bit is equal to 0.000125 kilobyte in this tool (values are compared in byte-equivalents):
1 bit = (0.125 B ÷ 1,000 B) kb = 0.000125 kb
Each bit counts as 0.125 bytes and each kilobyte as 1,000 bytes, so one bit equals 0.125 ÷ 1,000 kb = 0.000125 kb.
Let d(bit) be the numeric amount in Bit (bit), and d(kb) the amount in Kilobyte (kb). Then:
d(kb) = d(bit) × (0.125 / 1,000)
Equivalently, divide by how many bit fit into one kb (bytes per kb divided by bytes per bit):
d(kb) = d(bit) ÷ 8000
