How to convert terabytes to gigabits
1 terabyte is equal to 8000 gigabit in this tool (values are compared in byte-equivalents):
1 tb = (1,000,000,000,000 B ÷ 125,000,000 B) gbit = 8000 gbit
Each terabyte counts as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes and each gigabit as 125,000,000 bytes, so one tb equals 1,000,000,000,000 ÷ 125,000,000 gbit = 8000 gbit.
Let d(tb) be the numeric amount in Terabyte (tb), and d(gbit) the amount in Gigabit (gbit). Then:
d(gbit) = d(tb) × (1,000,000,000,000 / 125,000,000)
Equivalently, divide by how many tb fit into one gbit (bytes per gbit divided by bytes per tb):
