Each kilowatt is defined as 1,000 W and each volt-ampere (va) as 1 W in this tool, so one kw equals 1,000 ÷ 1 va = 1000 va.
Let d(kw) be the numeric value in Kilowatt (kw), and d(va) the value in Volt-Ampere (VA) (va). Then:
d(va) = d(kw) × (1,000 / 1)
Equivalently, divide by how many kw fit into one va (watts per va divided by watts per kw):
